Ruth Metz

I graduated from The Healing Arts and Massage School in Raleigh, NC. Prior to that I received a degree in Early Childhood Education and was working in a daycare. With a background of dance and yoga I have developed a strong connection with my body and wellness. Through movement I have been able to maintain a healthy mind, body, and spirit.

My own struggles with pain brought me to the beginning of my massage therapy  journey. By receiving bodywork, I was able to heal and learn how to manage pain. In school, my interests in anatomy and physiology flourished. My passion for understanding how the body works greatly influences my massage practices and how I live my daily life.

As a practitioner, I believe in a holistic approach to massage therapy, encompassing bodywork, stretches, and exercises. I aim to work collaboratively with clients to assess their needs and create a plan to achieve their goals. I strongly consider massage therapy a vital self care practice and a way maintain one’s health. It is my goal as a massage therapist to be present and assist you along your healing journey.
